Life As We Know It Is About To Radically Change

Nathan JonesBy Nathan Jones

Life as we know it is about to radically change.

As you and I watch world events unfold, especially during this past week, end-time prophetic scenarios now appear ready to begin. Scriptures often tie a prophesied future event with something that will happen directly to the Jews, and all instances of these world events will directly affect Israel.

Events and outcomes:

  • The United States is sadly on the brink of bankruptcy and a second Great Depression. With the loss of income comes the loss of political and military power. Because of that and depending on the outcome of the current presidential election, Israel would lose the United States as an ally and protector. Israel will be on its own.

  • A U.S. financial meltdown would throw much of the world into financial suffering, resulting in world-wide poverty and famine. Countries all over the world already have hurriedly begun calling for a change from the dollar to a one-world currency and an overall world organization to manage it.

  • Israel is in a disarrayed leadership vacuum. The front-runner for Prime Minister wishes upon taking power to immediately give over a lot of land to their enemies, making Israel almost indefensible.

  • Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and other terror-supporting nations have rearmed and are ready to invade Israel. Syria's already moving troops along its border.

  • Russia roared out of the background to consolidate their interests from Moscow through Georgia and all the way into Syrian ports. They are reaching for the Middle East oil fields and Israel.

  • Iran and Russia have solidified their political ties. Iran is only months away from being nuclear-armed, ready to act on their promises of annihilating Israel.

All these world events will force Israel to act in the upcoming months. Israel will be forced either into a Psalm 83 scenario where they are under siege and forced to use maximum force against their surrounding neighbors. Or, Iran will follow through on its threats and with the help of Russia fulfill the Ezekiel 38-39 scenario of the Gog-Magog invasion. It will probably be both, one closely after another.

Unless God intervenes and delays what is prophetically inevitable, the world scene appears to be ready for the 7-year Tribulation; a time Jesus said will be "such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall." In fact, Jesus said it will be so terrible that if it were not stopped at the end of seven years, it would result in the destruction of all life (Matt. 24:21-22).

For the believer in Christ, this life change may mean some suffering in the short term, but believers will be spared God's wrath and the Tribulation by first being taken up to be with Jesus in heaven (John 14:1-4; Rom. 5:9; 1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thess. 1:10; 5:9).

Because the Rapture of the Church looks so close, I'm releasing a blog entry tomorrow titled "Jesus Came. What's Next?" It is Lamb & Lion's message to those left behind. I encourage you not only to forward and give out as many copies as possible to those you know haven't accepted Jesus as Savior, but you can use it as a "left behind" message using You've Been Left Behind.

Our waiting is almost over. Jesus is coming back to reign!

I recently came across your website, and have been reading as much as possible when possible. Since some America's disasters have been attributed to Bush for pressuring Israel to give up land, I was wondering if his administration had done anything that could have cause Hurricane Ike, or the current problems on Wall Street? Thanks.

I would say most definitely God uses natural disasters, financial problems and foreign powers to call people back to repentance and a loving relationship with Him. Israel is resplendant with such occurances in their history.

God also uses natural disasters as punishment for messing with Israel, as we have been doing in spades as President Bush is leaving office.

To see a comparison of political occurances to freak natural disasters, check out this article by Dr. Reagan.

this blog entry pretty much sums it up - i can't wait to see what the Lord has prepared for all of us who belong to Him, and to know how we shall rule and reign with Him in the millennial kingdom!

I also can't wait to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. I want him to rapture us so bad. I know it's close. You and Dr. Reagan are doing a great job spreading the Word of God.
God Bless!

Perhaps. But only God knows for sure. No doubt the signs are there.

How will we know whether the tribulation has started? What event will officially start the 7 year countdown?

Nathan Jones said...

The 7-year countdown begins with the peace treaty the Antichrist makes with Israel (Daniel 9:27). The Rapture happens before, so there will be a little time before the Tribulation officially begins.

If a treaty IS signed and the rapture has not occurred, would we then assume it's the wrong treaty (not the prophetic one) or assume the rapture will occur later? How would we know? I wonder if there are other events closely following the treaty signing that we could watch for? (I'm 100% hopeful of a pre-trib rapture, but only 50% certain!!)

Yes Jesus is coming one day closer to take his church home!

It can be next week at the end of September!

We just have to wait and see!

Come Lord Jesus!

(Watching) for our Blessed Hope, Jesus Christ to Rapture us to the New Jerusalem(Heaven) (Blessed) are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find (watching) as shared in Proverbs 8:34, Luke 12:37, and Revelation 16:15 We are told many Times in the Bible to WATCH, and Notice Revelation 3:3 Shares those who are not Watching, He will come like a Thief. Now is the Time to Watch for King Jesus Christ, and Love his Appearing! Infact if you Love his Appearing (Rapture) you will receive a Special Crown! as Shared in the scripture 2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a (crown) of righteousness) which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but (unto all them also that love his appearing)

I agree with your write except that we shall be here to the very end.The rapture is after the great tribulation and not before. Also the graet tribulation is not 7 years but 3 and half years. We are at the beginning of sorrows and the great tribulation will be 3 and half years after the peace treaty is signed(whatever it is)

Why would the rapture be AFTER the tribulation when the Bible clearly states believers in Christ are NOT destined for wrath? The return of Christ is to be a sign of hope and encouragement for Christians. How can I be hopeful and encouraged if I am destined to experience the most horrific times in the history of the world? Sorry...you are just plain wrong.

We are not appointed to God's wrath. But the church has never been saved from persecution. God did not give us prophecy so we could predict the future. Rather we are to use prophecy as Jeremiah did to evaluate current events. This will allow the believer to discern the works of God and provide guidance when prophecies are being fulfilled. Notice Amos 5:18 which many say is a prophecy for Israel.

Amo 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Israel does not desire the Day of the Lord. But many Christians today do as they believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. They desire the Day of the Lord because they believe they will be taken to be with our Lord. I too desire to be with our Lord. When the apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians he said regarding our gathering unto Christ:

Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The falling away is an apostasy, a falling from the Christian faith, and the anti-Christ must be revealed. These 2 things must happen before the return of Christ.

Read Revelation 6. The second rider began taking peace from the earth when the sons of Ishmael attacked the US 7 years ago. The third rider has a pair of balances, like the symbol of the US justice system. But notice the symbol has no blind fold. Justice in the US is no longer blind. This event is the financial collapse of the US. If I’m wrong about Revelation it will be obvious as the events are sequential.

Everyone of us can read and watch.

U know this pre and mid tribulation rapture suprises me as I do not see it anywhere in the bible even the often quoted 1thess 4 gives the timing as after the great tribulation. If we read 1thessa5 which was a continuation it tells us the time and season of our caught up is the day of the Lord which is the coming fire to destroy mans works(2peter3).

The dead in christ rise first and job 14:12-14 tells us this is after this coming fire when the heavens are no more.So there cannot be any resurrection and caught up before then.Jesus said he will raise(resurrect) us up on the last day.Is the time before and during the great tribulation the last day? Those that are beheaded for not worshiping the beast(during the great trib) are raised to reign with him a 1000 yrs. This is the first ressurection.
There is non before. His people are are caught up after the dead rise(1 thess4)and the dead rise after the coming fire. Can the great tribualtion be after the fires destroys every thing on earth?Christians should face reality and stop deceiving themselves and prepare for the coming great tribulation.
He will keep(guard)us from the hour of trial coming on the earth.

lestillo said...

I may add also this coming fire is the wrath according to 1thess 5 but we are not appointed to it in that we shall be saved by Gods protection like Shedrach, messach and Abednigo or shown places of safety/refuge like Lot where will be saved from this coming fire

Nathan - Good article...I think there may be another way the Iran/Russia connection starts its attack. Israel decides they must pre-empt Iran's use of nuclear weapons. Based on some recent report I read, an expert felt that the bomb technology would be relatively ineffective against Iran's bunkers. This could cause Iran and Russia to decide to attack, using Israel's pre-emption attack as justifcation. I believe that the US would not aid Israel because we have stated that we did not support a pre-emptive attack via back channels.

I wonder what your thoughts are on this idea.

Nathan Jones said...

That could be a very possible scenario. Israel must do something soon, and it looks like they will be getting no direct help from any other nation. Check out Russia-Iran Alliance Stepping Up For Their Defeat for more details on that.

After the 5th horseman in Revelation 6 the souls slain for their testimony say:
...How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

It is obvious that God's wrath has not yet started. Rev 6:16 & 17 is a prophecy about what NON-BELIEVERS will say. The will declare the events to be the wrath of God, but they are not.

The first reference to God's wrath is Rev 11:18 after the 7th trumpet. God's angels declare this no less than 5 time in the next chapters. The cups are God's wrath.

BTW, Rev 6 is the result of people on earth turning from God. I find no scriptual reason to declare Rev 6 as the wrath of God.

I have a hard time believing that such learned men believe Our God can't count. Jesus did not say He was coming again and again. If U look up the words wrath and tribulation U will find they are NOT the same word and have different meanings ( wrath :ntense anger, any action of vengence) (tribulation: great misery or distress) Why would God tell us about the mark of the beast etc if we were not to be here,? Pre trib gives us two second comings. two last days , two first resurrections etc. People all over the world who love Christ are suffering imprisonment, torture, death and flee for their lives. Why do we in USA think we are so special that we will not have to endure these things also? I have actually written all of Christ's coming passages and NOT ONE says
it will be in secret. Pre trib has always taught that the Holy Spirit left with the Christians so how are those left behind going to get saved without His power? To me this is a great deception and has made many in the Church lazy thinking they will leave any miniute. I have heard Preachers say: Those left behind can pay off my maxed out credit cards and mortgage. It keeps getting closer to the end so when will these preachers who teach Pre trib begin to realize they have been decieved?
HOw is it that those "left behind"
have the power as baby christians to withstand Satan and we who are supposed to be strong in the Lord will be taken? It is beyond my belief to think that the Left behind will of course run out and buy a copy of Hagees or Van Impe, or La Haye's books so they will know what to do. Give me a break.
Rev. 20;1-6 Rev 22;12 And behold,I come quickly, and my REWARD is WITH ME, to give to every man according as his work shall be. so reward during our 7 years floating on Heaven's clouds?

Rev 1-7---2nd Peter 3: 11-14 Oh wow. We are looking for . oh no,
the coming of the day of God,wherein the heaveeeens being on fireshall be disolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat. Wherefore , beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that yeay be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.2nd Thess 1;6-10...
1st Thess. 4-16 Matt 24; 27-31
I do not careto suffer and would prefer to escape but my prayer is that if the time comes and I am asked to deny Christ; I will stand fast like all those who are now dying for our Lord. I am 78 and have five children and one is a pastor and we all believe we will go through the tribulation.God said he will cut the days short. The first half of seven years (if hat is right) will be Anti Christ being a man of peace but in the middle he will show who he really is so then many will be martyred, some will remain. We will be caught up as Jesus is returning to earth and be immortal so the wrath won't hurt us, or if we are here He will protect us thru it.
NO I do NOT know everything and neither does anyone else but it will be revealed to us as needed,
Yours In Chirst

"BTW, Rev 6 is the result of people on earth turning from God. I find no scriptual reason to declare Rev 6 as the wrath of God."

Rev 6:12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;

Rev 6:13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.

Rev 6:14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Presumably natural occurrences then.
