The Truth About Islam: Answers

Dr. David R. ReaganBy Dr. David R. Reagan

I want to conclude this series on the truth about Islam by answering the questions we began with:

Q) Are Muslims the spiritual brothers and sisters of Christians and Jews?
A) No, they have been deceived by a Satanic, false religion.

Q) Do we all worship the same God?
A) Absolutely not. The god of Islam is a false god. He is really Satan in disguise.

Q) Are the Islamic holy scriptures, known as the Koran, inspired by God?
A) Not the God of the Bible. The Islamic scriptures are a jumbled mess of contradictory statements that are unscientific, unhistorical, and unbiblical.

Q) Is Islam another path to God by which one can obtain eternal life?
A) No! Muslims reject Jesus as Messiah and deny His atoning sacrifice. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" (John 14:6).

Q) Are the Islamic Fundamentalists representative of true Islam, or have they hijacked a peace-loving religion?
A) There is no doubt they represent the true heart of Islam. Islam is a cultural, intolerant, militant and imperialistic religion of the sword.

Q) Is our war really a political one against terrorism, or is it a spiritual one against a demonic religion known as Islam?
A) Based upon the evidence I have presented from the Koran and from history, I think the answer is obvious. We are not engaged in a war against terrorism. Terrorism is a means, not the source of the struggle. Terrorism is a tool of those waging the war. To say this is a war against terrorism is equivalent to saying World War II was a war against U-Boats, V2 Rockets and Kamikaze planes. No, World War II was a war against Fascism. The current war is one against Islamic Fundamentalism.

But even more substantive, it is a spiritual war against the forces of Satan.

Obstacles to the Gospel

Jesus is about to return. The Bible says He will not return until the Gospel is preached to all the world (Matthew 24:14). There have been two major obstacles to the preaching of the Gospel — Communism and Islam, both religions of Satan. Communism collapsed and the former Communist countries are now open to the Gospel. The final barrier to be overcome is Islam.

For ten years now Evangelical Christians have been praying for the "10/40 Window" — that area of the world between the 10th and 40th latitudes where hundreds of millions are enslaved to the spiritual darkness of Islam.1 The prayers have been effective. Countless numbers have been exposed to the Gospel in various surreptitious ways, and many have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, knowing that to do so may well mean death.

Satan is enraged over these incursions into his territory. He is equally upset over the re-establishment of Israel. He can read the signs of the times, and he knows his time is short before Jesus breaks from the heavens in glory. But Satan is self-deceived, and he continues to believe he can thwart the purposes of God. He has therefore aroused and empowered Islam to make one last attempt to conquer the world.

Islam is destined to lose this battle, for the Word of God says that he who lives by the sword will die by the sword (Matthew 26:52).

I believe Islam will ultimately experience another defeat so overwhelming and so humiliating that the eyes of millions of Muslims will be opened to the fact that Allah is a false god. At that point their hearts will be opened to the true God — a God of lovingkindness who came to this earth and died for the sins of Mankind.

Isaiah was given a vision of this day in Isaiah 19 where it was revealed to him that one day during the Millennial reign of Jesus, Egypt, Assyria, and Israel will all be united in worshiping the one and only true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

A Call to Prayer

Let us pray for our leaders, that they will be able to discern the spiritual nature of the war we are engaged in.

Let us pray for the leaders of Israel, that they will turn to God for their protection and stop seeking it through America and through trying to appease an enemy whose goal is to annihilate them.

Let us pray for the Islamic world, that Muslims everywhere will have their hearts opened to the Gospel.

And let us daily cry out from the depths of our hearts, "Maranatha!" Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Witness your faith in response to the attack!

Dr. Reagan,

The Q&A is a most appropriate and well-placed capstone to your excellent series on Islam.

I would like to note that Islam(Submission), insomuch that it is both a demonic theological and an ideological construct that demands the absolute and total submission(Islam) of the individual adherent has but one type of true adherent - the true Muslim (the true submitter to flase god "al-lah").

All others outside of the state of total submission are declared apostates by the Qur'an and Ahadith. This is to say that there is no provision for 'moderation' within Islam, the Qur'an or Ahadith for anything like the terms we in the West hear on a near daily basis, terms like "moderate Muslim."

By definition, a "Moderate Muslim" would be one who is only partially submitted to "al-lah," and as such "moderate Muslims" could also be described as an artifical construct because there is only Islam(Submission) or Apostasy(Non-Submission).

Such is the totalitarian, demonic nature of Islam(Submission).

You are correct Sean, good post.

A quick note to those the "Eastern Leg-Muslim Antichrist" mindset.

Islam will not be taking over the European Union any time soon. In fact, the EU is leading the way and steeping up its oppostion to Islamic efforts to shield Islam from criticism and attack Israel via the U.N. Human Rights Council. Ha'aretz has the story which leads up to the so-called coming Durban II conference in April.

Sean, did you read Jack Kinsella's latest article? He's an associate of Hal Lindsay. People's eyes are being opened brother.

Here is a snippet of his latest article.

Quote: "But there’s something I want you to notice that is unique to the antichrist’s overall system and unholy Trinity.

There is but one religious system on the earth today that encompasses all three elements of society and holds them co-equal and under the control of a single authority.

Only one religious system seeks to integrate its religious laws with its political system and then impose it by force as part of its religious proselytizing campaign.

There is only one global religious system that integrates finance into its legal structure, making all three completely interdependent upon on another.

You already know which religion I’m talking about and I’ve not even named it. Which establishes the point with which we entered into today’s discussion.

If it isn’t false, it isn’t defamatory.

Assessment:

We know that the political beast is a politician and it is reasonable to assume that he will arise from one of the Mediterranean countries. But what of the religious beast?

Since Italy is an Mediterranean country and since the second beast is pictured with two horns like a lamb, the automatic and logical interpretive assumption is that he must be the head of the Roman Catholic Church.

But while the RCC is both a church and government (Vatican) and the Papacy has great power, it doesn’t have the kind of power necessary to fulfill Revelation.

It used to have that kind of power, right through the Middle Ages and into the modern Industrial Age. But it doesn’t anymore. And it is impossible to imagine it ever holding that kind of power again.

One might have been able to argue in 1492 that the RCC was the religion of the sword with the power to compel conversion on pain of death, it sounds kind of silly today.

It isn’t simply a knee-jerk identification of the latest systemic boogey-man as the system of the Beast — the Religion We Dare Not Name actually fills in many of the missing blank spaces.

The Religion We Dare Not Name is also constructed on three social pillars; economic, religious and political. It is not a faith that flourishes in a pluralistic society.

Its religious laws are deemed to be the supreme law of the world-wide community. It oversees all aspects of society; banking, politics, worship, and social.

In those parts of the world where it reigns, no person can freely opt out of the system. The penalty for conversion is death — the original 6th century code [still in force] mandates decapitation.

The antichrist confirms a peace covenant for seven years. Putting a time limit on a peace deal is foreign to Western thinking. It is even foreign to Jewish thinking.

(But it is so common to the Religion We Dare Not Name that there is even a name for it — “hudna”.)

The peace deal is abrogated at the half-way point. The Religion We Dare Not Name has a doctrine that allows this, based on a treaty made and then broken by that religion’s founder.

(They even have a name for this kind of false peace treaty — “Quriyash”.)

After he captured the city, the founder of the Religion We Dare Not Name beheaded between 600 and 900 of its defenders, according to its holy book.

That holy book is TODAY shown more reverence by American military personnel (who must wear gloves to keep from defiling it) than any other book in existence.

To this day, the very devout among the Religion We Dare Not Name proudly display what is called the “mark of prostration” — a callused spot on the forehead created by repeatedly banging it against a prayer rug five times per day.

Another important distinction is that I have absolutely no fear of naming the RCC. I won’t be denounced to some human rights court somewhere for defaming the Vatican.

The Jesuits won’t send out a hit squad to take me out for offending the Pope or blaspheming the RCC.

It is equally important to point out that I could name any European leader now in office as the antichrist. There is no legal threat and no physical threat.

On the other hand, the religion of the Beast, according to Scripture, promises both. (And in this Year of Our Lord of 2009, and in particular, when it comes to the Religion We Dare Not Name, I have plenty of reason to be careful with my words.)

Bible prophecy promises that during the Tribulation, those who refuse to worship the beast will be killed. Those who do not bear the mark on their forehead or their right hand will be excluded from society, unable to buy or sell.

It is no stretch of the imagination to say that Europe is well into its post-Christian era, while the Religion We Dare Not Name is currently the fastest growing religious system on the Continent.

Neither does it take a lot of imagination to see some kind of religious ‘merger’ whereby the Religion We Dare Not Name permits the RCC to operate under some kind of subordinate status.

There’s a name for that too — dhimmi.

There is little doubt that Bible prophecy was addressed to the generation that would witness its unfolding. For the past twenty centuries, every generation believed it could, at least, be the one that would see the Return of Christ.

But from where we sit on the timeline, if this isn’t the generation the Bible describes, then when that generation does arrive, it will have no way to identify itself.

Obviously, when one is looking at something from a great distance, the details aren’t nearly so clear as they are from up close.

For much of the past two thousand years, we’ve looked at Bible prophecy from a distance. And from a distance, one can sort of make the RCC fit, like you can make your car look better from a distance when you squint.

But after you get close enough, squinting doesn’t help. Even if you don’t want to see it the way it really is, you can’t ignore the flaws anymore.

There are flaws in the old RCC/False Prophet model that once worked for so well from a distance that are too big to ignore from up close. Not the least of which is that the next most likely candidate for the role is a Religion We Dare Not Name.

When did that happen?"

May the Father continue to open our eyes. Amen.

If Islam is the final global religion, then explain how people can behave as they do during the Tribulation in Revelation 9:20-21. People making and worshiping idols? Sexual deviancy? Sorcery? Islam will not allow any of that. Humanism does, though.

To accept an Islamic antichrist, we have to ignore verses that describe very un-Islamic behavior during the Tribualtion period. That is why I am no longer an Islamic antichrist proponent.

Granted, in many ways it sounds like Islam -- and fundamentalists (those who refuse to believe that Allah is a false god) may play a role during the Tribulation -- but to say Muslims are in charge? With the rate that people are leaving Islam on a daily basis, doesn't leave mush hope for the theory.

Mitchell said...

Son of thunder,

Let's look at the verses in question.

Revelation 9:20-21, "But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries [drug use] or their sexual immorality or their thefts."

I think what we need to do is first understand what worship is. It is not simply singing songs or bowing our heads, or bending a knee.

The Bible doesn’t give a formal definition of worship. But perhaps we can start by seeing what various words for worship mean. The English word "worship" comes from two Old English words: weorth, which means "worth" and scipe or ship, which means something like shape or "quality." We can see the Old English word -ship in modern words like friendship and sportsmanship – that’s the quality of being a friend, or the quality of being a good sport.

So worth-ship is the quality of having worth or of being worthy. When we worship, we are saying that God has worth, that he is worthy. Worship means to declare worth, to attribute worth...

Now let’s look at the biblical words. In both Hebrew and Greek, there are two major kinds of words for worship. The first kind means to bow down, to kneel, to put one’s face down as an act of respect and submission. Our body language is saying, I will do whatever you want me to. I am ready to listen to your instructions and I am willing to obey. The other kind of biblical word means to serve. Roughly half of the time these words are translated as worship, and the other half as serve. It carries the idea of doing something for God — making a sacrifice or carrying out his instructions.

Of course, word meanings don’t prove what worship is, but they do illustrate three kinds of worship. There is

1. worship that involves speaking, and
2. worship that involves listening, and
3. a worship that involves doing.

There is a worship that expresses the heart, and worship that involves the mind, and a worship that involves the body through action.

So, how can it be that, if Islam is the religion of Antichrist, that there can be those who worship idols? What is an idol?

i⋅dol (-noun): an image or other material object representing a deity to which religious worship is addressed; an image of a deity other than God; any person or thing regarded with blind admiration, adoration, or devotion; a figment of the mind; fantasy; a false conception or notion

I want to focus on the emphasized, for per the definition above we can easily see how in Islam there are many idols. For example, the Kaaba, Muhammad himself, the Qur'an. Even the city of Mecca can be considered an Islamic idol.

Muslims will say one thing, but often do the opposite. They will say that they are dead set against idol worship, but their idea of worship is as twisted as the religion itself, for their behavior and their actions suggest otherwise.

Just look at what they do when they pray - they face a city, Mecca, and turn towards the The Black Stone (Kaaba) and bow down in prayer. Non-Muslims are forbidden to enter into the holy city of Mecca, and any non-Muslim caught inside is executed. Idol worship?

For the Hajj they circle The Black Stone counter-clockwise, hands outstretched to touch the holy object of their adoration so that it will cleanse them of their sin. Idol worship?

Look at their actions if you say something against their Prophet Muhammad. They will kill you in the service of their prophet to protect the image and name of Muhammad (for example, look at what happened when the Danish cartoons were printed). Idol worship?

Their "holy book" the Qur'an - it has to be above all other books and be a prominent fixture in a home, and in fact there are special rules that Muslims follow when handling, touching, or reading from the book: only those who are clean and pure should touch the sacred text, they should make formal ablutions before handling the Qur'an or reading from its text, one who is in need of a formal bath i.e, after intercourse or menstrual bleeding, should not touch the Qur'an until after bathing, a non-Muslim should not handle the sacred text, and those who are unable to handle the Qur'an based on these reasons should either avoid handling the Qur'an completely, or in necessity hold it while using some sort of barrier covering the hand, such as a cloth or a glove. If you do anything against the Qur'an you will be threatened with death. Idol worship?

I say yes. These are my own thoughts on the matter, and I am sure that much more could be said and expounded upon.

Walid Shoebat knows quite a bit about this, once being a Muslim himself, writing:

FACT—MUSLIMS WORSHIP THE BLACK STONE

Islam teaches that every Muslim must get his sins cleansed by venerating The Black Stone at least once in their lifetime, since the Black Stone is black due to it taking away the sins of Muslims. From a biblical definition — not only do Muslims deify Muhammad, they also deify the Black Stone — this idol takes the position of Jesus Himself, since only Jesus can remit all sin.

Even the Book of Acts addresses such issues: Everyone knows that Ephesus is the official guardian of the temple of the great Artemis, whose image which fell down to us from heaven (Acts 19:35)...

The image of Artemis is strikingly similar to the meteorite stone image in Mecca which Allah commands 1.3 billion Muslims to literally bow down and prostrate themselves toward at least seventeen times during their five daily prayers.

Al-Tirmidhi, one of the greatest Muslim commentators notes “many years ago, the Black Stone was, “whiter than milk; it was only later that it became black as it absorbed the sins of those who touched it.”

Even the stone according to the Bible is an “image”. Biblically speaking, an image does not only mean a statue. Likely, the image of the beast can include a stone.

FACT—MUSLIMS WORSHIP MUHAMMAD

Muhammad’s name literally means “The Most Praised One”. If this alone is not worship, I do not know what else is... Muhammad “The Praised One” is a title of deity. This is a name of blasphemy. The Antichrist system blasphemes God. Of course Muslims do not claim that they worship Muhammad. Yet they do. Allah himself in the Quran commanded: “Allah and His angels pray upon the prophet[Muhammad]. O ye who believe pray upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation” (Qur’an 33:56). Even Allah himself prays upon Muhammad... Without Muhammad, there can be no Islam and without believing in Muhammad, no one can become a Muslim. The Islamic creed mandates it “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.” Muslims elevate Muhammad with God for no Christian would be mandated to state, “There is no God but Yahweh and Ezekiel is His messenger.”

Allah in the Quran even shared many of his names with Mohammed. He holds a uniquely exalted status unparalleled by anything or anyone else. He is given the title Al-Maqam-Al-Mahmud (The Glorious). The Mahdi who Muslims believe is the essence of Muhammad, likewise is called “glorious”, Ahmadinijad stated: “pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi—may Allah hasten his reappearance.”

Muslim scholar, Dr. G. F. Haddad, in an article with a blasphemous title, The Best of Creation states “[There is no] other Prophet [other than Mohammed] or angel-brought-near with whom Allah Most High shared as many of His own Names in the Qur’an as He did with the Prophet. With respect to his foremost name—Mohammed—peace be upon him, consider the poetic verse of Hassan ibn Thabit (RA): ‘And He drew out for him [a name] from His own Name so as to dignify him greatly: The Owner of the Throne [God] is The Glorious [Mahm├╗d], and this is the Praiseworthy [Mohammed]!’”

Islam claims that God, whose name is Mahmud, or the Glorious or the Praised One, named Mohammed after Himself. This is quite the claim. Mohammed wanted to be like God. Even intersession is attributed to Muhammad “It may be that thy Lord will raise thee to a praised estate’ (Qur’an 17:79), a station which the Prophet said none but he would receive. And this is the Station of Intercession at the right of the Glorious Throne.”

Only Jesus is positioned at the right hand of God where He is the only one that intercedes for mankind: “Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us” (Romans 8:34). One will never find in the Scriptures Ezekiel, Daniel, Amos, Habakkuk, or Jeremiah given such titles.

FACT—MUSLIMS WORSHIP MAHDI

Like Mohammed, the Mahdi is exalted by Islam to be above all of creation, and is claimed by Islam to sit in the Temple of God in Jerusalem. Mahdi in Islam has titles that belong only to God.

Now, lets examine II Thessalonians 2... Antichrist “oppose and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (II Thessalonians 2:4).

The Mahdi, like Muhammad exalts himself above all that is called God. In other words, he gives himself titles that only belong to God. The II Thessalonians 2 text is perfect and no serious mind can deny — it does match Islam’s deification of a man.

Islam, according to many estimates, is currently the fastest growing religion in the world (personally I question this claim). However, in Europe the growth of Islam (due mostly to immigration, though there is some conversion) is out of control. The larger the Muslim population, the more problems there are within that society. Just look at what happened in France last summer.

OK, let's say that Rev. 9:20 is about the kabah in Mecca. Your answer still did not cover Revelation 9:21. If the world is forced into Islam, how do these people continue to behave the way they do? Islam murders people for this kind of behavior and these verses indicate that it is approved of.

How are verses 20 and 21 connected if they are so dissimilar; If they describe two entirely different lifestyles?

How is this rectified with an Islamic world-wide caliphate?

Sorry, but humanism teaches "If it feels good, do it." It teaches that you can't help what you do, you were born that way. So, we endorse homosexuality because of that excuse. What's to stop us from endorsing murder because "you were born that way"? We already endorse abortion. Isn't that murder?

Can we be 100% sure that Rev. 9:21 isn't speaking about abortion instead of people following a dying religion? Can we be 100% sure that the demon worship of 9:20isn't UFO/alien/"ascended being" worship?

I'm not trying to argue here, and I'm not trying to be insulting so please don't take it that way, Mitchell, but you're being very Pharasaical about this, very dogmatic.

I'm open to the possibilty that maybe antichrist is Muslim or at least of Arab descent: I believed it 100% for years, but very recently it stopped making sense for many of the reasons Dr. Reagan and Nathan Jones point out.

I don't want you to be offended, Mitchell. I like these little debates. But we have to look at all of the evidence, not just what fits our theories.

If the world is forced into Islam, how do these people continue to behave the way they do? Islam murders people for this kind of behavior and these verses indicate that it is approved of."

Here is Rev 9:21: "And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts."

Their Murders -- Islam condones the murdering of non-Muslims and in fact the Qur'an commands to kill them in Jihad to protect and promote Islam. Surah 4:89,91 "They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them... If they keep not aloof from you nor offer you peace nor hold their hands, then take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant." Surah 5:33a, "The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger (Muhammad) and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed ..." Surah 9:11, "... they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain...". Islam even permits suicide bombings to kill innocents. What we call illegitimate and murder -- the murdering of men, women and children -- they will call legitimate resistance in the cause of Allah.

"Sorceries" - the Greek word translated as "sorceries" is translated as "witch craft" and "magic arts" in other translations. The word is "pharmakeia" (G5331) and it is where we get the word "pharmacy" from. However, this does not mean that it must therefore be referring to the use or administering of drugs or 'casting spells'. This word is also used metaphorically to mean "the deceptions and seductions of idolatry". The immediate context deals specifically with blatant idolatry that they did not repent of. Therefore, I think what we have here is the fact that they did not turn away from the deceptions and seductions of such abominations -- things such as The Black Stone for instance, or even the Qur'an.

Their Sexual Immorality -- Not only does Islam permit men to have up to four wives, Islam permits the taking of women as concubines against their will. They are permitted to have sex with, rape, and even impregnate women whom they have captured in war. In Zechariah 14:2 we read that "... The city will be taken, the houses plundered, and the women raped. Half the population will be taken away into captivity, and half will be left among the ruins of the city." Women have no value in Islam.

Their Thefts -- We don't have to look far to see what Islamic nations today want to take, and it is one of the things that they will try to do at Armageddon -- steal and divide the "Beautiful Land" from God Almighty. They believe that Israel has no right to exist, and that the land belongs to Muslims. Daniel 11:39, referring to Armageddon, says "Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain." I have no doubt that during the battle they will take what they please, when ever and where ever they can as. Booty in Islam is permissible and encouraged.

"The number of rapes committed by Muslim immigrants in Western nations are so extremely high that it is difficult to view them only as random acts of individuals. It resembles warfare. Muhammad himself had forced sex (rape) with several of his slave girls/concubines. This is perfectly allowed, both in the sunna and in the Koran. If you postulate that many of the Muslims in Europe view themselves as a conquering army and that European women are simply war booty, it all makes perfect sense and is in full accordance with Islamic law. Western women are not so much regarded by most Muslims as individuals, but as 'their women,' the women who 'belong' to hostile Infidels. They are booty, to be taken, just as the land of the Infidels someday will drop, it is believed, into Muslim hand. This is not mere crime, but ideologically-justified crime or rather, in Muslim eyes, attacks on Infidels scarcely qualify as crime..."

SeanOsborne, I really enjoyed reading those articles by Bro. Simmons, and I'm glad you linked them. I had heard or read much of it before, before I went over to the Muslim antichrist theory.

Hal Lindsey, years ago, right after Pope J.P. II died, taught on the Malachy prophecies, and even though he seemed a little sceptical, did give them some credence.

son of thunder said...

Mitchell, there's an ever simpler explanation.

Jack Kelly of gracethrufaith.com writes: "The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. (Rev. 9:20-21)

"You'd think that with those demonic locusts attacking only non-believers and 3 billion people dying from wars and other disasters, people would be flocking to the Lord in search of comfort and security. But this just doesn't happen, and I'll tell you why.

"There is a belief floating around that's as old as mankind but in the last days will become a religion that deceives almost everybody. It's called the Luciferian Doctrine and understanding it helps explain why the world won't turn to its Creator in this, the worst time in human history. The Luciferian doctrine is named of course after Lucifer, a Latin name meaning, "light bearer." It holds that Lucifer is the good guy trying to enlighten the people of the world in preparation for the spiritual evolution necessary to bring peace to all mankind. According to Luciferian Doctrine our physical evolution is finished and all we need to do now is throw off the bonds of Judeo-Christian thinking to complete our spiritual evolution and enter into our long awaited Utopian Era.

"But Lucifer's being hindered in all this by the evil Adonai (Hebrew for Lord) Who, along with His followers, is working to thwart Lucifer's grand plan by requiring everyone to adhere to His reactionary religion, effectively preventing our spiritual evolution. In order for humanity to achieve Utopia those who insist on clinging to their obsolete Judeo- Christian faith have to be eliminated. The Great Tribulation is characterized in Luciferian Doctrine as the evil Adonai's last great effort to destroy mankind's 'light bearer' and prevent our ascension into Utopia, keeping us in bondage to Him."

Mitchell said...

Hi son of thunder,

Yes, Islam is a direct product of The Luciferian Doctrine. In fact they are virtually synonymous under the skin. We are in the Last Days now, today, and I think that any other notion stating that some as yet unknown religion will arise in a few year to deceive almost everybody is highly unlikely, implausible and contrived, especially in light of the fact that Islam is among us in great force right now. Islam took nearly 1400 years to get to where it is and is already followed by hundreds upon hundreds of millions of people. The Luciferian Doctrine turns the "bad guys" into "good guys" and vice versa, which is exactly what Islam does.

loki said...

The Luciferian doctrine began in Eden with Gen 3:5

This is a distinctive of the New Age. Read the works of the likes of Barbara Marx Hubbard. They come across as gentle New Agers, yet they worship "mother earth" and have talked about culling certain fundamental religionists who can't change - all in the name of saving the earth and for the purpose of enhancing our "spiritual evolution". Do not be blindsided into thinking Islam is our only danger.

loki said...

That should have included Gen 3:4 as well, of course.

Gen 3:4 But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.

Gen 3:5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Mitchell said...

loki said, "Do not be blindsided into thinking Islam is our only danger."

Compared to Islam, all other "dangers" pale by comparison. I have no worries about New Age proponents strapping bombs to their bodies and blowing themselves up among innocent people. I have no worries about New Age followers forcing Jews and Christians to convert to their religion or face execution. I have no worries about New Age proponents forcing their religion upon nations, forming a coalition, and surrounding Jerusalem. Nor do I worry about them attacking our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Or trying to change all the laws of our land. If anything, the "New Agers" should be worried about Islam. We don't need to try and fit other religions into the prophetic End Times box when Islam is already there and fiercely opposes "sharing the box" in any way, shape or form.

No but they are changing our society from within. I see the NA and Humanism as elements of the same change agent. Not that long ago, one scientist at a convention declared that this world could not sustain a population as high as 500 million and that something needed to be done quickly...he was applauded by all.

Your focus is on Islam mainly. That's fine - I too have been observing and warning about it for the past nine years. But stay awake to the increasingly dystopian-like evil within our own society.

There is evil all around us, we can all agree on that. But even secular humanism is being subjugated by Islam. Look at Turkey - it is considered secular, however increasing Islamic influence is taking hold.

(Turkey) Less Europe, More Islam

"For almost half a century, Turkey has been pursuing European Union membership. With negotiations now started though, enthusiasm is waning. And the influence of Islam is on the rise."

Divine inspiration: Islamism in secular Turkey

"Islamic parties claim the support of an ever-increasing proportion of the electorate, their leaders hold unprecedented popular appeal, and a significant portion of the Turkish population believes that the government should adhere more closely to Islamic principles."

And how about Egypt?

In Egypt Vote, Islamist Influence Grows

"The Muslim Brotherhood is expected to triple its numbers in parliament in Wednesday's poll... In electoral districts throughout Egypt, campaign posters reading simply 'Islam is the solution,' urge voters to choose Muslim Brotherhood candidates for parliament when they go to the polls Wednesday. Ahmed Omar, a literature student, will heed the call... He is not alone."

In a prophetic Biblical context -- which is Israel-centric and Middle East-centric, it is becoming increasingly clear where the the real dangers lie, and it is not with humanism or the New Age movement. Indeed, the real dangers lie with Islam, and and it is only getting worse.

There are very real dangers with Islam within the west and the ME, but you myopically dismiss the globalist agenda that is happening right now around us.

As for your contention that the Antichrist's domain is centered mainly around the ME - that is your speculation based on your interpretation. I've read your arguments elsewhere and do not find them convincing. I believe that that mind-set may lead one to a false sense of security if one does not live in the ME.

Hi low key!

There is a secular globalist agenda, no doubt about it, but let's not turn a blind eye to "the mother of all global agendas", and it is regarding the Islamic desire to force Islam upon the earth.

This view is not my interpretation, there are numerous Bible scholars, theologians, commentators, teachers, pastors throughout history and a growing number today today who believe that Islam will play a significant role in these Last Days.

John Wesley - In his great work Doctrine of Original Sin, commented on Daniel 2 that the iron teeth closely match Islam. (Works, 1841)

Hilaire Belloc (1938) - Foresaw Islam's rise to threaten Christianity "Will not perhaps the temporal power of Islam [will] return … I cannot but believe that a main unexpected thing of the future is the return of Islam."

Gregory Palamus of Thessalonica (1354) - Gregory Palamus interprets Jesus' declaration that "The time will come, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God a service" (John 16:2) to be the Islamic persecution.

Josiah Litch (1840) - In his Fall of the Ottoman Roman Empire, interpreted Revelation as the ushering in of Islam: "There is so general an agreement among Christians, especially protestant commentators, that the subject of this prediction is Mahommedism [Islam]." He even described the magnitude of Islam's role as Antichrist to the extent of calling it the "general agreement among Christians, especially protestant commentators."

Cyril of Jerusalem (315-368 A.D) -- In his Divine Institutes, and before the advent of Islam, Cyril believed that Antichrist will proceed forth from the region of ancient Syria, which today extends from Syria well into portions of Asia Minor (Turkey).

John of Damascus (676-749) -- In his famous book, Against Heresies associated Islam as forerunner of Antichrist.

Chuck Missler - Acknowledges that the "eastern leg" of the Roman Empire outlasted the "western leg" by a thousand years, and that there is significant Scriptural evidence pointing to an Islamic, Middle Eastern Antichrist.

There are numerous others that could be mentioned, such as Martin Luther (1483–1546), John Calvin (1509-1564), Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) and others that saw Islam and Middle Eastern nations playing a significant role in Last Days prophecy. Moreover, many former Muslims who convert to Christianity often recognize telltale signs of Islam in Bible prophecies concerning Antichrist and the Last Days.

My own interpretation? Not at all. It is not new, it is not private, and I believe that it will continue to receive more attention in the days ahead ...

Yes, I’m aware that many others hold that Islam has a connection with the AC and that it isn’t just your interpretation. I believe Chuck does acknowledge the Eastern leg and the Assyrian connection but I don’t think he sees things quite the way a Joel Richardson or a Walid Shoebat does - though I possibly stand to be corrected. However, I was actually referring to your limitation of the AC’s outreach. Leaving aside the argument about Islam for the moment, limiting the outreach of the AC seems problematic and very dangerous to me in view of Rev 13:8 and the growing globalist agenda that we are currently seeing.

Hi low key, I've answered this question in the blog posts here in more detail:

http://www.lamblion.us/2009/02/global-or-local-antichrist.html

When the whole of Scripture is hermeneutically compared we begin to see that the text time and time again is only referring to all of the surrounding nations, not literally all nations of the planet. Common sense tells us that, logistically, it is not even possible for literally all nations in the world to gather and surround Jerusalem.

Many of us often read Revelation 13:8 and then Zechariah 14:2, and then come to the conclusion that the scope of Antichrist's power is global. But other verses of Scripture contradict such a conclusion. Only comparing two verses can often lead to the wrong conclusion, so let's compare all that speak about the nations that will surround Jerusalem at Armageddon.

Zechariah 14:2, "For I will gather ALL nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity..."

Who are "all" the nations?

Zechariah 14:14 "Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the SURROUNDING nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance."

Zechariah would not say all the nations on the planet in 14:2 and then turn around and say just the surrounding nations a few verses later in 14:14. The prophetic Biblical texts are Israel-centric and Middle East-centric. Scripture does not contradict Scripture, therefore the answer hermeneutically is that it is all of the surrounding nations that 14:2 is referring to. But let's not stop there, we need to confirm this with other verses. Let's have a look:

Zechariah 12:2 "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the SURROUNDING peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem."

Joel 3:11-12 "Hasten and come, all you SURROUNDING nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, O LORD, Your mighty ones. Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat,For there I will sit to judge All the SURROUNDING nations."

Ezekiel 28:24-26 "'No longer will the people of Israel have malicious NEIGHBORS who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. " 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: When I gather the people of Israel from the nations where they have been scattered, I will show myself holy among them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob. They will live there in safety and will build houses and plant vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment on all their NEIGHBORS WHO MALIGNED AGAINST THEM. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.'"

Zechariah, Joel and Ezekiel all agree - not the whole planet, just all of the nations that surround Jerusalem/Israel. And these are all Islamic today.

But what about Revelation 13:8? It sounds pretty clear that it is the whole world, right? Most people will read Revelation 13:8 and then conclude that Antichrist rules the whole planet, but this is an example of a synecdoche, and Scripture uses this figure of speech quite often and is not intended to be understood in a wooden literal sense.

synecdoche - noun, figure of speech, a species of metaphor, in which a part of a person or thing is used to designate the whole

Here are a few examples:

Luke 2:1-3 "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that ALL THE WORLD should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And ALL went to be taxed, every one into his own city."

Mark 1:5, "And there went out unto him ALL the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were ALL baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins."

Daniel 2:36-38, "This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. You, O king, are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; in your hands he has placed mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds of the air. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them ALL. You are that head of gold."

Ezra 1:2, "Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD Elohim of heaven hath given me ALL the kingdoms of the earth;"

Did Caesar literally tax the whole world, including China and South America? Did Nebuchadnezzar or Cyrus literally rule over the entire earth? Of course not. These are example a synecdoche.

Here's another example:

Romans 10:18 "But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into ALL THE EARTH, and their words unto the ends of the world."

This is the same thing in Col 1:23, "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN; whereof I Paul am made a minister."

We know that there were many nations at the time of Paul who had not heard the Gospel. People may often recognize that there are examples of synecdoche in Scripture, but then deny that the reference to the Antichrist in Revelation 13:8 can be another example of a synecdoche when numerous other verses in the context of Antichrist / Armageddon demonstrate it forcefully, notwithstanding the fact that logically Antichrist cannot have global power if he is fighting so many wars until the end, for "war will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed." (Dan 9:26)
