Are There Many Roads to God? Part 7

Dr. David R. ReaganPDFBy Dr. David R. Reagan

Are there many roads to God? What is the bottom line?

From a biblical, Christian perspective, there is no way to escape the conclusion that Jesus is the only way to God, either through direct faith in Him, or by having the blood of Jesus applied to a person who has responded to God in faith through the testimony of instinct and nature.

To argue that there are other roads to God, as some apostate Christian leaders are doing today, is to deny that the sacrifice of Jesus was necessary for the forgiveness of sins. If there really are other roads to God, then Jesus came to earth to die a horrible death for no purpose. His sacrifice was all in vain. Either we are saved by the blood of Jesus, or we are not.

Road Signs

A Glorious Promise Concerning the Future

One thing we know for sure is that every person on earth who is alive at the end of the Tribulation will hear the Gospel before the Second Coming of Jesus. We know this because Jesus said it would happen (Matthew 24:14). That prophecy is being partially fulfilled today through the use of modern technology. Computers are being utilized to produce rapid translations of the Bible. Satellites are being used to transmit Gospel sermons worldwide.

But the ultimate fulfillment of the prophecy will occur near the end of the Great Tribulation when God will send forth an angel who will circumnavigate the globe and proclaim the Gospel to every person left alive at that time (Revelation 14:6-7). What glorious grace!

Some Posties believe we Pretribs think the world will be taught the Gospel by the 144,000 during the Trib ONLY. This is in part why they think the Church has to be in the Trib, for the sake of the preaching of the Gospel.

I am glad the mighty angel has been mentioned whom God appoints for this task. There are also the two witnesses and the many freshly saved Tribulation saints who will also pass on the good news.

P.S. Has anyone heard anything of rg? I hope and pray he is o.k!

um, i have a slight disagreement here as to the timing of the Gospel angel. i think it happens shortly after the MIDDLE of the tribulation to give rebellious man one final chance to repent and not recieve the mark. most will not repent and it seems by the middle of the tribulation peoples mind is made up. after the gospel angel you see the 2 harvests. the grain and then the grapes(judgement)

rev 13 and 2thess 2 says ALL who`s name is not written in the book of life will worship the beast so i think the gospel will be preached to ALL the earth by the middle of the tribulation and i think very few will be saved during the 2nd half.

Dawg, You beat me to this but I'll put it out there anyway...

Rev. 13: 16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Rev. 14: "9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10 he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury...etc."

Now I ask...does the third angel appear around the same time that the mark of the beast is being put on people as a warning not to take it and thereby try and stop some people from doing so?

If not, why would the angel give the warning?

A nagging suspicion has come over me lately concerning the 2012 election in light of the growing "rumors of wars" in the M.E., with its potential 'spill-over' consequences, coupled with the increasing tensions of the so-called "western wild-fire states" challenging the new "Evil Empire" on illegal immigration, 2nd Amendment gun Rights, the "Commerce Clause", asserting States' Rights under the 10th Amendment, and the constant drumbeat of "we're overdue for another 'terrorist' attack"...

Did I mention the growing challenges over producing the real, "long-form" birth certificate...?

...If the M.E. flashed over, and if something 'untoward' were to happen here [God forbid], our 1st Kenyan-born, illegal-alien-in-chief OhBumr might... could just declare martial law, bring in the 'blue helmets', [as most of our guys are off in foreign wars], ascend the throne, and "let the civil wars begin"...
[But then again, I could just be paranoid, in spite of the people looking for me...]

There are presently many roads to God, yet only one leads unto salvation and the promise of eternal life. The others lead to judgement and eternal damnation. For regardless of what path we chose, we will all stand before God to make an account. I prefer to follow the path paved in the blood of atonement by our Lord Yeshua.

I agree: All paths lead to God since all the unsaved through all time will stand before the Great White Throne upon which God sits.

But only ONE WAY leads to eternal life in eternal communion with the Father, and that Way is Jesus the Messiah!
