Radio Week: The Next World Superpower Part 2

Dr. David R. ReaganMP3By Dr. David R. Reagan

In April I was interviewed by Bill Salus, author of the popular Psalm 83-themed book Isralestine, host of the radio program Prophecy Update, and evangelist on the end times website Prophecy Depot. Bill and I spent much of the second half of the interview discussing why I believe the Antichrist will come out of the European Union and not the Middle East.

Bill Salus

The following summary of our half hour discussion is from Prophecy Depot:

The European Union (E.U.) appears to be on the verge of overtaking the United States in world superpower status! End time's expert on international politics and prophecy, Dr. David Reagan, declares the E.U. exists today in fulfillment of Bible prophecies contained in the books of Daniel and Revelation. Furthermore, he says the Antichrist will come out of the E.U. according to Daniel 9:26.
Dr. Reagan believes the E.U. fulfills the ancient prophecies regarded with the Revived Roman Empire. In a two part radio interview with Prophecy Update Radio host, Bill Salus, Dr. Reagan explores the prophecies and politics regarding the E.U.
Additionally, Bill Salus and Dr. Reagan show how the recent paradigm shift in Antichrist thinking has caused many eschatologists to take their eyes off of the Revived Roman Empire prophecies. Dr. Reagan dispels the Assyrian Muslim Antichrist hypothesis and reminds the listeners that the Antichrist will come out of the European Union, and not the Middle East!

The kingdom of the AntiChrist will be a global kingdom, not standing on one leg, or foot, yet a merger of both East and West, joined at the hip, so to speak. The centralized power structure however will be in Rome. Examine again the vision given to the Prophet Daniel by the Lord God. This merger will be possible in the aftermath of the Gog/Magog battle, militant Islam will be decimated, Islam will merge into the global religion to come, as will all current religions. No longer will Islam hold a position of prominence in the Middle East. The European Union being the one to form this global kingdom is fantasy at best, having weakness in finance, military, and political structure, they do not qualify.

Foreshadowing of the final Antichrist system...Cain, Pharaoh of Eygpt, Baal, Goliath, Herod, etc., all oppose Christ and His people.

Who can stop them? Only the mighty arm of the Lord first...also hints about the heart of Moses, the heart of young shepard boy David, Joseph protected Jesus as an infant.

What do all these great Bible men have in common? They prayed, listened, did the will of the Lord.

Who will you be?

...there are always antichrists in the world...even if you don't plan on being here for the final Antichrist system.

The precious blood...their names and your name is added to this list.

Rodney,
I have to disagree with you. The AC will definitely come out of the EU or what we know as the EU today. Daniel was very clear that he would arise from the people that destroyed the temple, ie Rome. It is possible that the country in the EU he comes out of will be a Mediterranean European nation too due to the fact that the beast rises out of the sea. He will combine the EU with the Union of the Mediterranean to form a newly revived Rome. At some point he will make his headquarters in newly rebuilt Babylon.
It seems to me that you are basing where the AC comes from due to the economical and political upheaval in the EU that is currently taking place. Well, these types of crises are generally when despots or centralized leaders arise. Take Hitler for instance, he came to power during a global depression, people were starving, jobless, and hopeless. He came to power and said all the right things, and people followed him so far as to become genocidal murderers.
I speculated a year ago that the AC might come out of Greece. I based this on several things. 1. Alexander the Great’s empire was actually made up of the leopard (Greece), bear(Persia), and lion(Babylon) just as the beast is described in Revelation. 2. Rome was born out of Greece. 3. Alexander the Great was met outside of Jerusalem when he showed up to conquer, he was shown Daniel, and was told it was about him. Alexander came in and honored God, and conquered the city without a battle, but allowed the Jews to continue their worship of God, and culture. I believe the AC will come in the same manner. What better time for the AC to arise out of crises stricken Greece, and solve all of its ills.
Physical evidence:
Have you ever seen the EU parliament building in Brussels? It was designed after the Tower of Babel. Have you ever seen the EU poster symbolizing EU as a new Tower of Babel? See it here: http://biblelight.net/Tower-of-Babel.htm
Have you ever seen the statue of Europa outside the EU building in Brussels? http://signsofthelastdays.com/archives/europe-rides-the-beast-official-eu-symbols-tells-us-what-the-elite-plan-to-do-to-all-of-humanity
The bull the woman is riding is Baal, remember the golden calf?
Have you ever heard of the Temple of Pergamum? In Revelation Jesus says that he knows that this is Satan’s seat. It was found in Turkey in the late 1800’s by a German archaeologist. The Ottomans allowed the Germans to dig it up and take it back to Germany. There a young German art student fell in love with it, and eventually gave all of his speeches from stages designed to look like it. His name was Hitler. That temple still sits in Germany:

Can you explain the "rises from the sea" part? I have heard that before.

Beam me up Scotty!

There are two beasts which rise according to John in Revelation 13.

The first beast comes out of "the sea". The sea is the Mediterranean and everything west of Israel all the way to Tarshish, aka Spain. That will be the leader who makes a covenant with Israel and makes it possible for the Jews to rebuild the Temple.

The second beast comes out of "the land". The second beast is the one we call the False Prophet. In Jewish thinking, the land is Israel. This false prophet will likely be a Jewish religious leader who declares the Antichrist to be the Messiah. From what I've heard, the Jewish people are looking for a Messiah which matches the description of AC perfectly.

Good to see you back, Gideon. Been a while.

I like that Alexander the Great comparison. Good stuff.

Thanks Boanerges, James and John, sons of thunder...

I had not noticed the negative assocation with the 'sea', but of course that makes sense to me now...the context in the story gives clues if something is negative or postive. Thanks, I will need to think about this one.

The postives about the sea.

Jesus has the power to calm the storms of the sea, walk on the waters of the sea, with faith and our eyes on Jesus, we can walk on the sea, the sea can be parted so we can walk on dry land, our lives can be redirected, like Jonah via a great fish, when thrown into the sea, the faithful will be rescued, like Noah and his family via the ark, out of the sea that covers the entire earth.

Thanks again son of thunder,
Jill
