Revelation Chapter 14

The most frequently requested Christ in Prophecy television show episodes on Revelation have been pulled out of the vault and re-released!

Over the six episodes, Dr. David Reagan and guests Don McGee of Crown and Sickle Ministries and Dennis Pollock of Spirit of Grace Ministries go chapter by chapter through the book of Revelation, explaining that the book of Revelation isn't difficult to understand, rather it is difficult to believe. But, if you will believe it for its plain sense meaning, you will understand it. For anyone who's been born again and has the Holy Spirit residing within them, Revelation can become very clear.

We'll continue on in our journey through the great book of Revelation and get some well-needed encouragement in Revelation 14. Feel free to watch, listen, or read along by clicking one of the icons below.

Revelation Revealed: Chapter 14

[Read Chapter 14 in the NASB version via Biblegateway.]

Dr. Reagan: Because the situation is so terrible at the end of Chapter 13, Chapter 14 presents another parenthetical pause designed to encourage the reader. What happens in this chapter is that we are given another flash forward to the end of the Tribulation to assure us that we are going to be victorious in the end. Chapter 14 also presents a panoramic preview of what is going to happen during the rest of the Tribulation.

We are told that an angel will go forth and preach the Gospel to every person on the face of the earth. Isn't that amazing? God is so good! Even while men are shaking their fists at him, the Lord, in His patience and longsuffering and kindness and mercy sends forth an angel to preach the gospel to every man on the face of the earth. Do you remember what Jesus said in Matthew 24? He said, "The gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come." Well, this is the fulfillment of that prophecy right at the end of the Tribulation.

A second angel is sent forth to proclaim that Babylon — the end time empire of the Antichrist — will be destroyed.

Then, a third angel is sent out to warn people that they are not to worship the Antichrist or receive his mark because if they do, they will suffer the wrath of God.

The chapter concludes with another preview of the Second Coming of Jesus. As He comes on the clouds, He swings his sickle and reaps the earth, separating the chaff from the good wheat. Sinners are cast into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

In the next part on this series on Revelation, the final round of Tribulation judgments will be poured out of bowls in Revelation 15-16.

Rodney posted an interesting point about Korea being a "decoy" to draw US assets away from the ME region...

I have my concerns about Facebook "security", linking all your contacts, and "dossier building"...

so I'm commenting here instead.

I think Rodney's observation makes sense, and is entirely plausible. However, I don't think it goes far enough in light of other events that have recently surfaced [plus I have a long history of being much more conspiratorial...].

There are indications that this may have been a US inspired South Korean "False Flag" operation for either starting a "real" war or a decoy for that very purpose of moving assets to that region.

Also, it also would give Obumr the perfect cover for not being there to back up Israel when things turn ugly, and the perfect excuse of claiming "I'm not anti-Israel! We just had to move our toys to a new hot spot..."

An off topic (but related to a not too long ago blog)...

Re: "Many paths to God and possible exceptions...(i.e. mentally challenged; never heard of Jesus, etc."

Does the unbelieving spouse of a believer go to Heaven? I thought I had read something to that effect but perhaps out of context.

Anyone care to enlighten me on this subject? Would appreciate it.

I see yer 'unbelieving spouse' and I raise you 1 'German-made torpedo' that the No. Koreans didn't own...

Nope! Salvation is an individual, personal choice that must be made before your number comes up.
I assume you are referring to 1 Corinthians 7:12-17
"14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband..."

Sanctified means 'set apart from the common...special', so apparently there is an overshadowing or blessing on the whole household of the believer that can have an effect on leading the unbeliever to Jesus, especially the testimony [not just words] of the believer's manner of living according to vs 16:
"16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?"

...least, that's what I've always been led to believe...

i asked that question a short time back, I looked at Noah and his family, and In the end as the Lord led me; I understood God gave Noah a word, Noah declared that word, no one accepted his word but his family only, repent to escape the wrath that is to come if you will. Though Noah's family didn't appear to understand how, (what the heck is rain and floods) they still believed the word given to them, and acted in obedience to the word given. They did what they needed to do to escape the wrath to come. So is the message today, in Jesus we need to do what we suppose to that we may be found worthy t escape the wrath that is to come. God desires none to perish, but that all would come to repentance, though not all has or will. Each individual must come to accept Jesus Christ and him crucified themselves. But a unsaved house gets some of the blessings of a saved loved one, but not their salvation, because it's yours, it's mine, it's each persons alone. Amen
