What causes the underlying thinking behind some of today's most liberal agendas?
During the 45 minute live show we talked about how April was a tough month for Christians. April held the Day of Silence for Homosexual Students, Pot Head Day, and Earth Day bringing out the green police. We also discussed the Christianity Under Attack Conference and DVDs, the rise in Autism, and the motives behind some of today's most liberal agendas. Read and listen in!
The Day of Hypocrisy
Matt Buff: Nathan, we so far have talked a lot about the decline of America and around the world. I want to continue to go down that path and then really spin it up with the prophetic angle with some information that you have on your blog and on your website at lamblion.com. Folks, on the website if you go to the upper far right there you will see Nathan and Dr. Reagan standing there and under him you'll see links to the blog and the news pages. Definitely go there because Dr. David Reagan and Nathan Jones are constantly putting new material up there on what is going on in the world, which we are going to get into that here, too.
The Day of Silence held in support of the homosexual agenda happened on the same week in April as Weed Day, so I guess they coordinated that correctly because it is very easy to be silent when you are high.
Nathan Jones: Is there any correlation, because I noticed Earth Day was about on the same day? What's up with that?
Matt Buff: Oh, that was just a miserable day. I was in a bad mood all day. Everywhere I went I saw the Day of Silence and the high stuff for Weed Day and the green police for Earth Day out and about telling me what to do. They tell me to take a shorter shower with the lights off. You know, I don't need them getting into my business like that. But, I don't see when going to their various websites any coordination. I just want to say that George Soros is probably behind it all. When you follow the money behind these events, you could probably go to one source.
The Day of Silence was for homosexual kids who are in school to not speak during the whole day. Basically, this causes a mass disruption in the school systems. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for the rest of us, a lot of people didn't know about this day, though it is picking up some traction. Still, teachers aren't putting up with this too much, for all they want is for their students to go to school and be quiet and learn.
The gay agenda says they are silent on this day because they are trying to stop the bullying of homosexuals. Speaking of bullying, news showed there is this white guy who recently got beat up by 20 black guys who claim they did it for Trayvon Martin and the man's currently right now in the hospital. I put his picture up on Facebook. The liberal retaliation can be either violent or disruptive, and this Day of Silence is another one that is disruptive.
I have kids. If you want to handle a bully, you beat him up and make him respect you. Well, the gay agenda is trying to stem bullying by disrupting everybody else's life instead of dealing with the actual issue.
Nathan Jones: Isn't that the core of the homosexual activist strategy, that they make life difficult for everybody? They can be bullies and force you into the courts to accept their version of what morality is. They can take away your rights to share Christianity on the street corners during their parades. But, heaven forbid, you say anything to them and you're in trouble. It's purely a hypocritical strategy that they run.
Darkened Hearts, Darkest Agendas
Nathan Jones: Between Earth Day and Weed Day and the homosexual agenda, you know what this all makes me think of, Matt? Romans 1. Romans 1 explains exactly what is going on here. Is it okay if I read a little bit of that?
Matt Buff: Yes, please do, because the Bible is what we should always want tie back into. The Bible has an answer for everything. And, sure enough, the reasons behind these various agendas are explained well in the Bible.
Nathan Jones: Verse 18 starts,"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."
In other words, all of creation in its complexity proves there is a God. But, the carnal man rejects God. The passage continues, "they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened." And do you know what, Matt, that's exactly what we are seeing today — futile thinking and dark hearts.
In response to the carnal man's futile thinking, what they did is they, "exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like man." In other words, they turned away from God to, "serve created things rather than the Creator." They turned on God and now they are worshipping nature. They are nature worshippers. When one's futile minds start thinking rebelliously like that, then this is the result morally.
Verse 26 continues about how God in response, "gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another." The Scripture goes on to talk about how the due penalty of their perversion, possibly resulting in the diseases that they get.
Romans 1 goes on to talk about the depraved mind in verse 29, "They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters…" The list goes on and on and on, concluding with verse 32; "Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." Earth Day, Weed Day, the homosexual agenda — it can all be tied into this rejection of God which Romans 1 teaches us about.
Matt Buff: Amen! That's exactly right. That's right out of a headline for what we are seeing today. They take their dark hearts, they take their foolish and futile minds, and then turn it right back un us Christians and accuse, "How come you don't accept this? We hate you because you don't."
Nathan Jones: Exactly! What they hate through us is God. They hate God.
I've had an interesting conversation with an Atheist lately because of some of the Creation videos our ministry has put on YouTube. Now and then Atheists will sail past all their arguments and their statements and their ad hominem attacks and finally make it clear that they believe there is a God, but they reject God because God is going to send then to Hell. They won't accept Jesus' salvation. They say they want a third avenue which is for God just to leave them alone. But, that's not the truth of reality for God to leave justice undone.
It's a shame that their sin matters so much more to them than what God can give them in terms of eternal life and salvation and forgiveness. God loves us so much that He sacrificed His own Son to provide a way through faith that we could accept salvation. What an amazing act of love! To turn down such such a gift is a crime upon the Gift Giver. It truly is a sad testimony of what a depraved mind does. It makes one in effect insane.
Another sad effect of sin insanity that we are especially seeing in the United States and other countries around the world that are crumbling morally, the people actually want their nations to crumble. That's another sign of a depraved mind when they want to see everything around them fall apart. Such thinking must be a judgment, like a kind of like a built-in self-destruct system that God has built into us for when we become mentally depraved, where we want to destroy ourselves which eventually rids society of all so much immorality.
Matt Buff: That I believe is exactly right. Yes, the liberal mind is a depraved mind and a psychotic mind because it keeps trying to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. It's the very definition of insanity.
Nathan Jones: Crazy are the policies we see coming out from liberally controlled government agencies. Take for instance the environmental policies. Alright, the United States is getting nearly 15 trillion dollars in debt, an yet we have 400 years worth of oil and natural gas beneath United States soil. If we pulled that out of the ground and sold it we would get rid of our entire national debt. We would become a world leader again economically. We would not have to depend on our enemies to supply our oil and gas needs. Our country would be truly bountiful. But, the depraved mind says that we must save the salmon, or we need to save that tree because they are more important than us living in poverty and squalor and being subjected to our debtors. An example is the shutting down of the Keystone Pipeline project which Obama did under great pressure by the environmentalist. That type of thinking is futile. It is self-destructive and eventually it ends up putting us all into slavery to our creditors. History attests to that result.Matt Buff: It does attest to that even in ways we just can't imagine.
In the last part of this interview with Matt Buff concerning Romans 1 and society, we'll look at some of what Lamb & Lion Ministries is doing to educate people in this time period of increasing immorality.
