Antichrist Book: Alive Today

Nathan JonesBy Nathan Jones

Dr. David Reagan has recently released his eleventh and latest book titled The Man of Lawlessness: The Antichrist in the Tribulation. I interviewed him about his new book on the Antichrist and asked him his opinion on some very controversial eschatological questions.

Do you believe that the Antichrist is alive today?

Dr. Reagan: That's a really good question. Many years ago when people would ask me that I would answer, "Not necessarily." But, now I've got a whole different view on it that I express in my book. That answer is — I believe the Antichrist has always been alive, in a certain sense.

Nathan Jones: How so?

Dr. Reagan: Satan knows Bible prophecy. He knows that a day is coming when he is going to empower and I believe even possess the Antichrist. The problem for Satan is that while he knows Bible prophecy, he doesn't know when God is going to trigger all these end times events. I think that throughout history Satan has always had a candidate; always somebody that he is ready to anoint. So, in that sense, I think the Antichrist has always been alive and is alive today. I think Satan has a candidate, but I don't think the person knows it yet. I don't think we know who it is, but Satan has a candidate. When God makes His move, Satan will also make his move. The Bible reveals that Satan is going to empower his man. I think he is going to posses him just like he possessed Judas. So, in that sense, I would say that, yes, he is alive today.

Nathan Jones: Okay, so say during World War II, Hitler could have eventually been the Antichrist if given the right circumstances?

Dr. Reagan: That's right.

Nathan Jones: Or, Mao?

Dr. Reagan: Absolutely.

Nathan Jones: So then, as of today, do you think the guy knows he is the Antichrist?

Dr. Reagan: No, I don't think so.

Nathan Jones: That's because events need to take place first to turn him into the Antichrist?

Dr. Reagan: That's right.

In the next part of this interview concerning Dr. David Reagan's newest book, The Man of Lawlessness: The Antichrist in the Tribulation, I ask him to give us the details on the Bible prophecy forum included in the book.

Indeed the AntiChrist is alive today!! He honors a god of forces, or god of war, with the spoils of war does he honor this god! It is clear that the AntiChrist must then lead a mighty military, using diplomacy such as humanitarian intervention, to conquer many nations. Global domination is his goal, yet clearly there remains obstacles such as Russia, China, Syria and Iran! Once these are eliminated as a threat (Gog/Magog)to his goals, then will he be able to successfully continue his campaign!
