Anonymous, I agree, the Mark of the Beast is an allegiance mark first and foremost, and is quite visibly readable on the right hand or forehead. That it's an implanted chip I think is taking the interpretation one step beyond the text (though I wouldn't dismiss it's associated with the Mark entirely).

That "every people" will know about the death of the Two Witnesses (Rev. 11) makes me believe technology will still remain up to at least the mid-point of the Tribulation. That armies are riding horses by the end at Armageddon leads me to believe the solar intensity of the 4th Bowl Judgment (Rev. 16:8-9) most likely knocks out all things electronic.

With all due respect to Mr. Hitchcock, by him saying the False Prophet will be an Economic Czar is to imply something to scripture that is not there.

And just because having the mark will allow one to buy/sell also does not automatically mean it is first & foremost an economic gadget or mark.

So let's start over: The False Prophet will be head of the One World (false) RELIGION, not the economy. He will be the RELIGIOUS Czar, not the economic czar. What the False Prophet will cause all to receive will be an idolatrous & occultic RELIGIOUS Mark, not an economic mark.

When any person, at that time, agrees to the mark & joins in the idolatry at the Luciferian Initiation, the side bennie is that they can buy/sell/survive.

It's no different today, already: Example: The secret societies, such as the Masons, will initiate you into their belief system (Luciferianism at its best), & what you get in return is access to their huge network, ie, you get better jobs, promotions, connections, status, prosperity, etc. etc.

Another aspect of the "electronic mark" idea that you don't hear mentioned too often is: By mid-trib will there even be an "electronic society" at all? Look at what happens in Revelation up to that point! Plus, the desire of the elite occultists pushing the One World Government is to DESTROY the current industrial society & take it BACKWARD to an agricultural society.

Personally, I think the whole microchip/mark idea is total disinformation. Look for a RELIGIOUS symbol/mark instead. That fits the False Prophet's "M.O."

It must have been in the 70s that the 'common market' (EU) had a computer in Brussels that filled a building; it was nicknamed 'the beast'. The people maintaining and runnung it had marks on the backs of their hands for getting in and out of the beast!

There was also a cashless experiment run in a few small towns in Britain around that time as well. 'Softly, softly, catchee monkey!'

Back in the late '70s "they" had already developed lasers that could tattoo a bar code in the skin that was machine readable, but was invisible to the eye... not like that 'funny' bank commercial where the guy goes in to open an account & they staple a bar-code tag to his forehead, then directs him to a long line where, at the counter, a big woman holds this guy's head down close to, and repeatedly moves it past the scanner, which also repeatedly beeps the Fail beep. Funny to see, but it's also the world flaunting 666 in our face as it is all a religious fantasy...

while most believe it will be a microchip under the skin like the ones used on pets we cant be certain. here`s all we know for certain 1)it`ll be a literal mark 2)it will somehow be connected with worshipping the beast or his image 3)at the time it is introduced people will know exactly what it is and the consequences. everything else is just speculation
